Summer Party - Wine Tasting - Thursday June 18th

This year, we've decided to do things a little differently. There will be a wine tasting on Thursday June 18th, at our house on St. Botolph Street. The party starts at 7. We are having a professional summelier who will be talking about each of the wines in the tasting. The cost is $25pp to cover the wine.

Christian Science Center CAC

Lee Steele recently let me know this on the subject:

Nothing to report on Christian Scientists yet. We haven't even yet been shown a conceptual Master Plan for the "Plaza Revitalization Project," as they are calling it. Next CAC meeting is April 4th. Stay tuned.

Street Cleaning

Please remember that Street Cleaning starts April 1st. If you park on the street at the wrong time, you will be towed! Also, the city does a much better job of cleaning if there are no cars there, as trash can be between the car and the curb. The city offers a service to remind you via email. Neighborhood Cleanup

I wanted to thank everyone who turned out yesterday for the neighborhood cleanup. Turnout was fantastic! Besides our neighbors, we were also joined by big crews from the Colonnade and Sheraton hotels. A special thanks to them. We figure that in total there were between 75 and 100 people, which I consider impressive, considering the size of our neighborhood.

The neighborhood looks fantasic. Again, thanks to everyone who participated, and I hope you are all members of the St. Botolph Neighborhood Association. If not, join today!

Trash Collection

As those of us know who abut the Midtown hotel, there were some issues with trash collection. Many of us were ticketed for putting our trash on the Midtown's side of the alley. I've only lived here for 6 months, and I was under the impression that was the correct thing to do. Apparently it wasn't, as I received a ticket! I started putting my trash on my side of the street, but did notice others were getting tickets.

Does anyone have any information as to how this situation was resolved? I would like to hear about it...

Upcoming Holiday Party

As you may know, the neighborhood is having its annual holiday party on Wednesday, December 12th, 2007. I'm hoping to speak with people interested in the blog, and hearing what people would like to hear about here. We're looking for all constructive ideas! For further information on the Holiday Party and association, check out www. stbotolph.org.
